Company History
Founded in 1993 by Angus Thirlwell and Peter Harris as a mail-order chocolate company called Choc Express, rebranded as Hotel Chocolat in 2003. Notable milestones include opening first retail store in 2004, acquiring Rabot Estate cocoa plantation in Saint Lucia in 2006, launching Boucan Hotel in Saint Lucia in 2011, and becoming publicly traded on AIM in 2016.
